However, I didn't kick my membership selling career off to a very successful start.
I remember my first week like it was yesterday. My excitement was electric.
"Help people look better and feel better? Make a lot of money? This was going to be the easiest and the best job ever," I said to myself.
I mean, everyone needs to workout. The product sells itself, right?
Wrong.
I heard it all. Maybe you can relate.
"I can't afford it."
"I have to think about it."
"I have to talk to my husband/wife/grandma/whoever."
Out the door they went. No membership. No sale. And no commission!
NEVER. TO. BE. HEARD. FROM. AGAIN.
It was crazy. I struggled to close sales.
Then, after years of going to live seminars, reading countless books, and tons of trial and error, I finally broke through with a system for selling memberships that seemed to work like magic.
I went from closing about half of my prospects to closing almost all of them. I'm talking 90% to 100%.
The rest, as they say, is history. I went on to sell millions and millions of dollars in memberships opening multiple training facilities throughout New York State.
